Verna Houghtaling "Mrs. H" *PREC
Royal LePage Prince George
Ph: 1.800.419.0709
Cell: 250.960.8338
Verna and her husband Bill moved to Prince George in 1976, where they planned to stay for a few years and then return to the Okanagan. But as folks they met welcomed them here, it wasn't long before PG felt like "home" and they put down roots and became "threads in the fabric" of this friendly city. Most recently they operated a 476-acre farm about 1/2 hour south of PG, running a commercial cow/calf herd of Angus X beef from 2000 to 2010.
From Day 1 Verna has been involved in the horse community, riding dressage and being a founding member of North Central BC CADORA, then more recently enjoying the western world of team penning, reining and lots more recreational riding.
Verna has a banking background, being employed by CIBC several years, and then in various departments as Nursing Unit Clerk and medical steno at Prince George Regional Hospital (now University Hospital of Northern BC). After 30 years in health care, Verna felt it was time for something new. Coming from a family of realtors, she was encouraged to take the Real Estate course and became licensed in spring of 2008 and has been with Royal LePage in Prince George since that time.
Verna does not take her relationships for granted, be they friends, family or clients. She brings a strong work ethic, honesty and integrity to her career and looks forward to working with you!
